PRIME reports that the head of the Japanese government Shinzo Abe planned to discuss with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin the problem of North Korea. The meeting is expected to be held at the end of April during the visit of the Japanese Prime Minister to Moscow.

In his speech at the parliamentary session, Abe said that he plans to hold a "frank exchange of views" on Pyongyang's problem with Moscow.

He stressed that in cooperation with the United States and South Korea, as well as with Russia and China, the Japanese authorities are seeking restraint from the DPRK.

In addition, the Japanese Prime Minister said that the situation around North Korea's missile tests should be resolved diplomatically. Kyodo quotes Abe's words: "Although she flaunts military power, it is important to protect the world through diplomatic efforts".

The Russian Foreign Ministry earlier stated that Abe's visit is scheduled for the third decade of April. Later, Japanese publications wrote that the Prime Minister will come to Russia on April 27-28.
