The Japanese edition of The Mainichi reports that four opposition parties in Japan are going to call on the spouses of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe-Akie Abe.

It is reported that the intention of parliamentarians is related to the ongoing scandal in Japan about the activities of the Moritimo Gakuen educational organization. As it became known, the organization is suspected of machinations with land plots and lobbying interests in the country's leadership. In particular, she is accused of unfairly acquiring territory for the construction of an elementary school at a low price. It is noted that while the market value of the site was about 800 million yen ($ 7.2 million), the organization managed to buy it for 100 million (about $ 900 thousand. In addition, the organization is accused of using nationalist ideology in the educational process.

As the Japanese opposition believes, the activity of the foundation was affected by the Prime Minister himself and his wife. The head of the secretariat of the Japanese Communist Party Akira Koike stated in this connection that "there is a suspicion that Prime Minister Abe had something to do with the deal (on the land plot)". He stressed: "We think this is a very serious problem".

During the testimony, the head of Moritimo Gakuen, Yasunori Kagoike, stated that the wife of the prime minister gave the organization a large sum as a donation.

However, the press service of the wife of the head of government and the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) of the country have already rejected such accusations.

In early March this year it became known that the ruling Liberal Democratic Party of Japan extended the powers of the Prime Minister of the country for up to nine years. This means that if Shinzo Abe retains the support of his party, then as his head, he can remain at the head of the government until 2021. He holds the post of head of the Japanese government from December 2012.
