The newspaper "Izvestia" reports, with reference to the deputy department of Dmitry Aristov, that the Ministry of Justice is preparing amendments to the article of the Criminal Code, according to which Ildar Dadin was convicted.

The newspaper writes: "The Russian government instructed the Ministry of Justice to work out the issue of a possible correction of Article 212. 1 of the Criminal Code, providing for punishment for repeated violations at rallies ".

The publication notes that the development of proposals will take about three months. It is specified that the result should be a decision on the need to change the criminal rule, as well as on what may be possible amendments.

Recall, Ildar Dadin was the first convict in Russia on a criminal article on repeated violations at rallies. In February of this year, the Presidium of the Supreme Court quashed the verdict, finding that the case was brought in violation of the formal terms of bringing to criminal responsibility.

At the time of release from the appointed sentence in the form of two and a half years in prison, Dadin had to stay for about five months. Earlier it became known that the defense of Dadin complained about his illegal detention in the colony in the Strasbourg Court.
