Eight of the strongest jumpers of the season competed at the Absolute World Championships, including three representatives of Ukraine. Maguchikh missed the starting height of 1.86 m, after which she overcame 1.91 and 1.95 m on her first attempts.

The fate of the title was decided at 1.99 m. The Ukrainian cleared the bar on her second attempt, and her main rival Nikola Olislagers was unable to cope with this height in any of the three jumps.

Maguchikh noted that she liked the fast pace of the competition.

" This is very cool for me. Sometimes, when the weather is bad, waiting for half an hour or an hour for your performance gets a little boring. I'm very happy to win this trophy and end the season on a good note.. Of course, I wanted to jump a little higher, but the most important thing is that there is a trophy. This is the first such world championship, and I won it,” said the athlete.

After the victory was secured, the Ukrainian decided to continue her performance and ordered a height of 2.04 m.

“Tatyana Vladimirovna first asked if I wanted to jump further, and I answered: “Of course.”. So that questions about why 2.04 m will immediately disappear: there is already a trophy, so why not try? The first two attempts were good, the third – not so much,” said Maguchikh.

The athlete failed to overcome 2.04 m, but this did not stop her from finishing the season with a victory at the first ever Absolute World Championship.

The Ukrainian also positively assessed the format of the tournament, which took place in a darkened stadium with an emphasis on the performances of athletes.

" We really felt like we were the stars of this stadium. Everything was conveniently organized for each broadcast: there were cards, it was clear who was jumping where. This is very cool. I hope that such competitions will continue to be held,” Yaroslava emphasized.

For winning the tournament, the Ukrainian athlete will receive $150 thousand in prize money.
