Former absolute world champion Terence Crawford visited Ukraine on August 25 and met with President Vladimir Zelensky. After the meeting, the American boxer called the head of state “a real man” and noted that it was easy and comfortable to communicate with him.
" He's a real man. A very nice guy,” Crawford said on the AkTIvni Youtube channel, answering a question about Zelensky.
Let us recall that during the meeting the President thanked Crawford for his support of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. The American also gave Zelensky an American pit bull terrier puppy.
The pet was named Freya in honor of the future air defense system Freyja. Her grandfather, nicknamed Athos, survived the Russian occupation of Bucha.
Crawford retired from professional football in 2025. The American left boxing undefeated, having won 42 victories in 42 fights, 31 of which ended by knockout.
During his career, Crawford became the absolute world champion in three weight categories.. Among his famous opponents was Ukrainian Viktor Postol, whom the American defeated by unanimous decision in July 2016.
