Panic rumors are spreading on social networks that from September 1, 2026, all persons liable for military service in Ukraine will automatically lose their reservation from conscription. The reason for alarm was the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 692. Government decree updates business rules, but does not contain clauses on automatic cancellation of deferments issued. Instead, the document launches a large-scale government audit.

The Cabinet of Ministers has set a deadline of September 1, and by this date the responsible authorities must check the enterprises that previously received the right to book employees and assess the validity of issuing them the status of critical enterprises.

The further fate of the delays directly depends on the results of the inspection of each specific enterprise. If the company successfully passes the inspection and the business meets the updated criteria, the criticality status remains and employees continue to work with a valid reservation.

If a business loses its critical status, the legal basis for the booking is also cancelled.. Only in this case will workers be deprived of a deferment from mobilization.
