The Uruguayan Football Association announced on its official website the recognition of the national team's new head coach, Diego Forlan.
Details please the 47-year-old Uruguayan will not vote.
It is also agreed that Forlan will not lose the head team of the country, but will continue to work with the U-20 youth team in order to participate in the youth championship of America in 2027.
In his new position, Forlan replaced Marcelo Belsa, who left the team after the 2026 emergency, where the Uruguayans were eliminated after the group stage.
