The Italian Football Federation has announced new candidates for the position of head coach of the Italian national team. Insider Nikolo Skira reports this.

According to Gerel, the list of candidates includes Stefano Pioli, Thiago Motta and Raffaele Palladino. These candidates were nominated by FIGC technical director Paolo Maldini and his manager Leonardo.

It is also said that FIGC President Giovanni Malago is pushing two of his candidates, Roberto Mancine and Antonio Conte.

At the moment, all five coaches are working without work. Having lost Fiorentina in the fall of 2025, Motta worked with Juventus until last year, and Palladino joined Atalanti after the end of last season.. Having lost Napoli at the end of this summer, Mancini recently terminated his contract with the Qatari Al-Sadd.
