After clarification from lawyers that Ukrainians whose homes were destroyed as a result of the war need to terminate their ownership rights, the state is also simplifying compensation mechanisms for affected businesses. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko announced changes to the compensation program for enterprises whose property was damaged or destroyed as a result of hostilities in front-line territories, and new rules provide for simplification of the application procedure. Sviridenko reported this on Facebook.
According to Sviridenko, the government has made the procedure for obtaining compensation for damaged or destroyed property of enterprises in front-line territories more accessible. One of the main changes is that now businesses only need to submit one application for all damaged or destroyed property. Previously, businesses had to wait until the relevant information was entered into the State Register of property damaged and destroyed as a result of hostilities in order to submit documents for compensation for production equipment and utility networks.
“The deadline for filing applications for compensation of insurance premiums for program participants has been extended. And those who insured their property this year but did not join the program will be able to contact the insurer before August 1,” Sviridenko noted..
Another innovation was the simplification of requirements for insured property. The procedure for determining the amount of compensation, which can reach UAH 3 million per year, has also been clarified.. Sviridenko reported that since the beginning of the year the government has already approved 139 applications for participation in the program from enterprises operating in front-line territories. The total volume of potential compensation for these applications is UAH 2.67 billion.
In the area of \u200b\u200bcompensation of insurance premiums, businesses have already submitted 63 applications for participation in the program.
“Entrepreneurs in frontline territories deserve special attention and support. They not only support the economy of these regions, but also create conditions for the usual life and work of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians who find themselves in close proximity to the enemy. We will continue to develop and implement tools to protect and support both ordinary people and Ukrainian entrepreneurs. Those who really need it,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
