Coventry City officially announced the extension of the contract with head coach Frank Lempard.
As the club's press service informs, the new deal with the 48-year-old Fahivian is insured until the summer of 2029.
Lempard left the team in the fall of the 2024 season and achieved his best results in this hour. Already in the debut season, we lifted Coventry City from the 17th place to the playoff zone of the Championship, and in the 2025/26 campaign, we brought the club to the championship title of another English division.
Once again, Coventry City's success turned to the English Premier League first in 25 years. Under Lempard's leadership, the team played 82 official matches, winning 45.
The club has decided that Chelsea, who is extremely sick, will have a special connection with the players, the club’s staff and patients, and will also become an important part of the life of the place.
Lempard himself is impatiently looking forward to a new stage of work with the team and has already begun preparations for Coventry City before the upcoming season in the English Premier League.
