Tottenham continue to actively pursue a possible transfer of West Ham star Mateus Fernandes.

According to Sky Sports, Spurs are ready to spend up to 85 million pounds sterling on a 21-star midfielder.

Londoners see the Portuguese as one of the priority candidates to strengthen the middle line before the new season. Such a sum could become a serious argument in negotiations with West Gem, who are not in a hurry to part with one of the team’s most talented players after the loss to the Championship.

It is also important for Manchester United to keep an eye on the evolving situation. It was previously reported that the Mancunians were already negotiating with the footballer's representatives and ahead of competitors in the fight for his signature. Old Trafford have initially priced the possible transfer at around ?60 million, but may now be reconsidering their financial limits due to growing interest from other clubs.

According to Dzherel, the management of Manchester United has not yet praised the residual decision based on the official position, continuing to analyze the transfer market. One of the alternative options for the club is the loss of Real Madrid loanee Aurelien Chuameni, although his potential transfer looks significantly complicated.
