Ukrainian serviceman Igor Bondar died in a battle against the Russian occupation army. The defender was from Ternopil.

Before the war, the man was involved in Paralympic sports. This was reported by the Ternopil Region Athletics Federation.

Farewell to the fallen warrior will take place on June 11 in Ternopil. The body of the deceased serviceman was brought to his hometown on June 10. Igor Bodnar was an international master of sports, silver medalist of the XI Paralympic Games in Sydney (Australia) in athletics in the 1500 meter race.

The man trained in the Ternopil regional center Invasport. Awarded the Order of Merit, 3rd degree. " Eternal and blessed memory to the Hero,” wrote the Ternopil mayor.

Let us remind you that during the war, a soldier from the Lviv region, Igor Zhuk, died. The life of a brave Hero was cut short on June 1 in the Donetsk region, near the village of Molocharka. He will forever be 30 years old.
