At the heart of the initial training camp, which will take place near the Slovenian town of Rogaska-Slatina, the Ukrainian youth team (U21) held the first of two planned control matches. The U.S. youth team became the Ukrainians' favorite.

The coaching staff decided to check the nearest reserve and released three newcomers from the starting warehouse.
