In the Diya application, the submission of applications to the Register of Losses in the category of forced displacement has been automated; now data on border crossings is pulled up automatically, which simplifies and speeds up the process. Ukrainians who traveled abroad after February 24, 2022 or are unable to return due to war can apply..

This was reported by the press service of Dii. The update is part of a large-scale digitalization of recording the consequences of the war and preparing the legal basis for future compensation to injured Ukrainians.

The main update is that data on crossing the state border is now automatically included in the electronic application form. Previously, users encountered technical errors or the need to manually enter some information. In some cases, the application could not be sent at all on the first try.. Now the system integrates data on travel abroad without additional user actions, which significantly reduces the risk of errors and speeds up the submission of an application to the international Register of Losses for Ukraine. If a previous attempt to submit was unsuccessful, the service recommends going through the procedure again with an updated form. Changes apply to category A1. 2 – “Forced displacement outside Ukraine”. It is this category that is intended to record cases where citizens were forced to leave the country due to a full-scale war. Citizens of Ukraine who meet one of the criteria can submit an application through Diya: Each submitted application records the fact of losses and consequences of war, and also forms the legal basis for potential future compensation within the framework of international compensation mechanisms. The application process has become more structured and consists of several simple steps:.

The International Register of Losses was created to document the losses that Ukrainians suffered due to the war.. We are talking not only about property, but also about forced relocation, loss of housing, income, living opportunities and other consequences of war.
