Ukrainians can receive various types of services online in public and private institutions. This can be done using a qualifying electronic signature (QES). The Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) in the Volyn region told how to obtain a CEP and why it is needed.

What is an electronic signature.

The PFU explained that an electronic signature is a digital analogue of a handwritten physical signature, a certain set of data that is attached to an electronic document and certifies that you signed it.

According to the Law on Electronic Trust Services, an electronic signature is electronic data that is added to or logically linked to other electronic data and is used as a means of signing.

" In Ukraine, only a qualified electronic signature (CES) has full legal force,” the message says..

What documents are needed to obtain an electronic signature?.

To obtain an electronic signature, you must have the following documents:.

individual: passport, RNOKPP;

Individual entrepreneur: passport, RNOCKPP, extract from the Unified State Register.

legal entity: extract from the Unified State Register, charter, order, passport of the authorized person, power of attorney.

The PFU explained that usually the CEP is issued for a period of up to two years, depending on the ACSC. After the expiration date, it requires updating.
