According to Dzherel, the Greek club has already achieved full ownership with Trabzonspor following the transfer of the 29-year-old Ukrainian winger. The footballer will soon be on medical treatment, after which he will sign a contract with the club in Athens.

Previously, it was reported that Ukrainians considered the option of moving to MLS, but would still be able to continue their career in Europe.

At Trabzonspor, Zubkov was one of the team leaders and helped the club win the Turkish Cup. Turkish media also reported that the burgundy-blue team wanted to receive at least six million euros for the player’s transfer.

In the 2025/26 season, Oleksandr Zubkov played 37 matches in all tournaments, scoring 4 goals and providing 7 assists.
