The Ukrainian national hockey team has received opponents with whom it will play at the World Championships in 2027. The Ukrainian team made it to the elite division for the first time in 20 years.

Dmitry Khristich's team ended up in Group A along with Switzerland, Finland, Sweden, Slovakia, Latvia, Austria and Slovenia. Group B included Canada, USA, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Hungary and Kazakhstan.

Germany, as the organizer of the World Cup, has the right to make one or two changes in the composition of the groups, so in theory they are not final.

The World Hockey Championship in the elite division will be held from May 14 to May 30 next year. The last time the Ukrainian national team competed in the elite division of the World Cup was back in 2007.
