Leader of the Belarusian opposition Svetlana Tikhanovskaya came to Ukraine for the first time

On the morning of May 25, exiled leader of the Belarusian opposition Svetlana Tikhanovskaya arrived in Kyiv, writes Zerkalo.. It is indicated that this is her first visit to Ukraine. She carried it out at the invitation of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

Along with Tikhanovskaya came her advisors Frank Vyachorka, Denis Kuchinsky and Anatoly Lebedko, deputy head of the United Transitional Cabinet (UTC) Pavel Latushko, head of the UPK staff Valery Matskevich and UPK representative on social issues Olga Zazulinskaya.

The Belarusian oppositionist plans to meet with the leadership of Ukraine, as well as take part in the International Summit of Cities and Regions.

Zelensky invited Tikhanovskaya to Ukraine in January, when they held their first bilateral meeting in Vilnius.

Previously, Tikhanovskaya stated that the Belarusian opposition was cooperating with certain structures in Ukraine to exchange information. Then she expressed hope that the visit of the Belarusian opposition to Ukraine would help establish more contacts to coordinate joint efforts. Tikhanovskaya added that Belarusians must understand who is carrying the true evil, and information work is being carried out in this direction.
