Due to the massive night shelling of the Dnepropetrovsk region, Ukrzaliznytsia was forced to quickly change routes and train schedules to ensure the safety of passengers. The greatest delays are now recorded on routes through the Dnieper, Lviv, Kyiv and Kharkov, where some flights are delayed by more than 2-3 hours. This was reported by the press service of Ukrzaliznytsya.. The greatest changes affected flights that pass through the Dnieper and nearby destinations. Thus, train No. 79/80 Dnepr - Lviv, which was supposed to go to western Ukraine, will temporarily run only to Kyiv. For passengers traveling further to Lviv, the capital organized a transfer to an additional train No. 291 Kyiv - Lviv, the departure of which is scheduled after the arrival of the main flight at approximately 13:30.
The return route of this train has also been changed. Flight No. 80 Lviv - Dnepr, which was supposed to depart on May 18, will start not from Lviv, but from Kyiv. For passengers from Lviv, a separate replacement train No. 292 Lviv - Kyiv has been assigned, which will take people to the capital for further transfer.
A similar situation is with train No. 83/84 Dnepr - Uzhgorod. It will proceed only to Lviv, and passengers will then be delivered to Transcarpathia on a separate train. A similar transfer mechanism will be organized for those traveling from Uzhgorod in the opposite direction..
Some trains do not change routes, but arrive with significant delays, which affects other routes. In particular, train No. 86/85 Zaporozhye - Lviv is expected in Lviv only around 21:00, which is why flight No. 103/104 Lviv - Lozovaya will also depart late at approximately 23:00.
Train No. 285/286 Dnepr - Lviv will also arrive with a delay, and its return flight from Lviv to Dnepr will depart approximately three hours later. Among the trains that are already running with the greatest delay:.
Additional support has already been organized for train passengers who are delayed the longest. On the way, people will be provided with snacks prepared by an international humanitarian organization.
Ukrzaliznytsia urges passengers to carefully follow messages in the official application, announcements at stations, as well as instructions from train crews. Up-to-date information about delays and schedule changes can be tracked online on the carrier’s official portal.
