Gianluigi Buffon will soon deprive the Italian delegation of the Italian national team from the seat after the team's failure to qualify for the World Cup 2026. Sky Sport Italia reports this.

The 48-year-old official has worked for the national team since the beginning of 2023, but after the defeat against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the play-off final, he left his seat. At the same time, he left the team and head coach Gennaro Gattuso.

Apparently, the final match ended 1:1, and in the penalty shootout the Italians lost 1:4. In the meantime, the team of the third time could not make it to the world championship.
