Ukrainian singer MamaRika, who ended up in Dubai with her son during air raids, spoke about the differences between Ukraine and the UAE during hostilities. In an interview with the program “Rank at the Great Place,” the artist was struck by the contrast in the approach to security between her homeland and the Emirates.

“People in the hotel lobby were gathering and asking where the shelter was. They said: everything is fine, no shelter is needed, go to your rooms. They have a bit of an information utopia - they tell some good news, and they are not allowed to say that something is wrong,” the singer noted.

Due to the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, the artist was stuck in Dubai for more than a week. Flights were canceled en masse, which forced MamaRika to reschedule several planned concerts.. The journey home with a small child through three countries took several days.
