The director of a private enterprise was charged with a case of violations in the procurement of hazardous waste disposal services for one of the divisions of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia. The Office of the Prosecutor General reported this on Thursday, February 26. According to the investigation, the private company received payment for the work, although in fact it was not possible to carry it out due to the lack of necessary resources and permits. Currently, the director of the enterprise has been informed of suspicion of official forgery under. 1 tbsp. 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and seizure of property under Part. 5 tbsp. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation found that the suspect submitted documents to the tender with false information, which allowed the company to become the winner of the purchase and enter into an agreement with Ukrzaliznytsia. Next, hazardous waste was transported to the landfill without a license to handle such waste, which indicates a failure to comply with the terms of the contract. As a result, the state enterprise incurred expenses of more than UAH 2.7 million without actually providing services. Currently, a preventive measure has already been chosen for the suspect.
