Local channels write that UAVs allegedly attacked the entire city en masse. In particular, SHOT, citing local residents, reports that powerful explosions began to thunder over the area around midnight.

Governor Andrei Bocharov said that the air defense of the Ministry of Defense repelled a massive raid on energy and civil infrastructure facilities. He also confirmed a “fire” at the plant in the south of Volgograd.

Meanwhile, OSINT analysts write about a large-scale fire at the Lukoil oil refinery. Local residents are massively filming and posting spectacular footage of the fire on social networks..

The ASTRA channel claims that this is at least the ninth attack on this plant since the beginning of a full-scale war.

LLC Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka is the largest oil refinery in the Volgograd region and one of the key assets of PJSC Lukoil. The enterprise annually processes more than 15 million tons of oil. The plant specializes in deep oil refining, production of gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel, fuel oil, bitumen and other petroleum products.

Earlier in August, the Volgograd Oil Refinery was attacked twice. Large-scale fires occurred at the enterprise. The plant stopped working for some time. The next blow occurred on the night of September 18, after which the refinery’s work was stopped again.
