The PFU explained that there are the following grounds for terminating pensions and insurance payments:.

pensioners living in BOT or abroad have not been identified before December 31 of each calendar year.

There have been no debit transactions on the accounts of pensioners living on BOT for six months and such pensioners have not undergone physical identification.

pensioners living in BOT or traveling to Ukrainian-controlled territory did not report not receiving a pension from the Russian Federation.

The Fund explained that in order to update pension payments, citizens who are on BOT must submit an application online and undergo identification. This can be done:.

Citizens who left the BOT for territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities must personally contact any territorial body of the PFU at the place of their actual residence and submit a notification of non-receipt of a pension from the Russian Federation.

How to restore pension payments to Ukrainian citizens abroad.

To restore pension payments to citizens of Ukraine who are abroad, it is necessary to send a written application for the resumption of pension/insurance payment, a document certifying the fact that the individual is alive, a document confirming receipt of temporary protection or refugee status, registration of their place of temporary residence (with translation), a copy of the passport of a citizen of Ukraine.
