In Ukraine, a government package of energy support for business has launched, which includes one-time assistance to individual entrepreneurs in the amount of UAH 7,500-15,000 and preferential loans at 0% per annum up to UAH 10 million for energy equipment. The programs are aimed at ensuring that entrepreneurs can work during power outages and save jobs.

We are talking primarily about business in socially important areas - pharmacies, grocery stores, bakeries, cafes, workshops, essential services and other enterprises on the stable operation of which the provision of communities depends. The amount of payment depends on the number of employees and ranges from 7,500 to 15,000 hryvnia. These funds can be used to purchase or repair generators and other energy equipment, purchase batteries, inverters, charging stations and solar panels, fuel for generators, as well as pay for electricity for autonomous operation during outages.
You can submit an application online through the Diya portal in the “Entrepreneurship” section – service “Help to individual entrepreneurs for energy sustainability”. The second area of \u200b\u200bsupport is preferential business lending within the framework of the state program “Affordable Loans 5-7-9”. The government has launched a special tool “Energocredit”, which allows enterprises to receive a loan at 0% per annum. Micro, small and medium businesses, both individual entrepreneurs and legal entities can raise up to 10 million hryvnia for a period of up to 3 years. The interest rate for the borrower at 0% is compensated by the state through the Entrepreneurship Development Fund, covering the difference between the market rate and preferential conditions.
Loan funds are allowed to be used exclusively for the purchase of generating equipment. We are talking about diesel, gasoline and gas generators, as well as cogeneration, gas piston, gas turbine and biogas plants. Financing is transferred non-cash directly to equipment suppliers, phased financing in tranches is possible.
Now 17 partner banks have begun accepting applications, and a total of 43 banks across the country will take part in the program. Applications for energy loans will be considered priority, and the estimated time for the bank to make a decision is from 5 to 10 working days.
Enterprises that meet the basic requirements of the “Affordable Loans 5-7-9” program can apply for an energy loan.. The business must be registered in Ukraine (with the exception of temporarily occupied territories), be a resident of Ukraine, have no ties with the aggressor state and not be subject to legislative restrictions on state support.
The program is available both for existing businesses that have been operating for more than 12 months and have proven activity, and for start-ups registered up to a year, subject to having a sound business plan. For enterprises in the field of agriculture and processing, additional requirements may apply, in particular regarding environmental and social standards and registration in the State Agrarian Register.
