During the final presentation of the Reconstruction Agency for 2025, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction Oleksiy Kuleba said that Ukraine received from partners more than 700 units of energy equipment with a total capacity of about one gigawatt, a Suspilny correspondent reports.. It is noted that this corresponds to the production volumes of one power unit of the South Ukrainian NPP.

Kuleba noted that Ukraine received boilers, cogeneration units and powerful mobile generators from partners, in particular from Azerbaijan, Belgium, Estonia, Italy, Canada, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Great Britain, the USA, Turkey, France, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden and Japan. Over the past week alone, more than 100 units of such equipment have arrived in the country..

“To ensure the uninterrupted operation of treatment systems, as well as heat and water supply, Ukraine needs additional energy resources. We are forming a national reserve of mobile energy equipment that will help maintain basic services for people during restoration work, especially in winter,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.

It is noted that the government allocated 2.6 billion hryvnia to create a reserve with a capacity of 130 megawatts. At the same time, Ukraine’s needs exceed these volumes, so the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development will seek additional support from international partners.

Let us recall that the EU is transferring 447 generators to Ukraine for communities throughout the country, in particular in the front-line regions. According to Kuleba, this equipment will help schools, hospitals, social institutions, shelters, as well as heating points, boiler houses, water intakes, sewage treatment plants and artesian wells operate uninterruptedly..

In addition, on January 26, Kyiv received 130 generators from Poland to enhance the stability of critical facilities and social institutions during the energy crisis. They were purchased by Polish volunteers, who collected 80 million hryvnia (almost 2 million euros) in ten days..

Germany also recently provided Ukraine with the first batch of energy equipment as part of a winter emergency aid package worth 120 million euros.. Assistance includes two cogeneration units, generators and other critically needed equipment.
