The International Football Association (IFAB) will soon review some important changes to the rules of the game, including a new interpretation of offside and an expanded re-importance of the VAR system.
The final result was the initiative of the great head coach of Arsenal and the greatest leader in the global development of FIFA football, Arsene Wenger.. He decided to respect Gravets in the offside position only in the event that he was always closer to the opponent’s goal, the lower ball and the front defender. If you want the part of the body that is allowed to score a goal to be on the same line as the defender or behind him, the position of the game is not fixed.
In addition, IFAB is considering the possibility of expanding the re-importance of VAR - zocrem, allowing video assistants to handle the moments with the recognition of critical strikes and other cards. An experiment that was tested at the Arab Cup in Qatar is also analyzed: the gravel, who refused medical assistance through a foul, is guilty of depriving the field for two years, since the offender was not punished with a yellow or red card.
These initiatives will be discussed at the IFAB meeting on the 20th in London. The remaining decision is planned to be praised at the General Assembly in Wales. Once praised, the new rules may come into force for the 2026/27 season.
Previously, Infantino supported Wenger's idea to change the offside rules.
Guess what, FIFA is launching youth festival tournaments, open to Russian national teams.
