The famous Ukrainian poet, composer, journalist and former people's deputy Yevgeny Rybchinsky spoke openly about his health problems for the first time. In an interview for the Naodintsi project, the son of the legendary composer admitted that he had undergone two operations due to oncology.
“I recently had another operation - I removed another cancer. And this is not the first time. But both the first time and the last time I didn’t even think about the earth. And there’s nothing to be afraid of. We only live once - why be afraid?. I don't like such details, but it has to do with the skin. It's hereditary. Very unpleasant moments, because sometimes half the body is simply removed. You see from the outside, but inside it is three times larger. This happened for the first time in 2015.. And now in a different place. Cut out everything. The biopsy showed that everything was normal,” he shared.
Evgeniy admitted that the diagnosis forced him to make significant changes in his lifestyle to prevent a relapse. Rybchinsky is strictly forbidden to be in the sun. Despite his love of tanning, he avoided it for years to prevent exposure to solar radiation.. Since he cannot absorb sunlight naturally, doctors prescribed him vitamins D and E. Noting the hereditary nature of cancer, the poet also suggested that his health problems could have been caused by the Chernobyl disaster.
