Ukraine has approved a mechanism for providing monetary compensation to persons with disabilities and people with limitations in daily functioning for the conversion of passenger cars. The department explained that compensation is paid in the amount of funds actually spent by a person on the conversion of a passenger car, but not more than UAH 50,000.

“You can submit an application for compensation within three months from the date of registration of the converted car. The appeal is made to the territorial branch of the Social Protection Fund for Persons with Disabilities (FSZLI),"

The application can be submitted in the following ways:.

in paper form to the territorial branches of the FSZLI;

through the person’s electronic account on the Social web portal of electronic services of the Ministry of Social Policy;

by means of the Unified State Web Portal of Electronic Services (portal "

Persons who have not received it for re-equipping a car under other budget programs or if more than seven years have passed since such payment have the right to compensation..

“Compensation can be awarded again - in the event of the loss of a car as a result of hostilities or during the conversion of another car acquired into ownership (no earlier than seven years from the date of receipt of the previous compensation),” the message says..

The department added that the appointment and payment of compensation is carried out using funds from the budget program and in the order of application submission.. The decision is made by the territorial branch of the FSZLI after checking documents and data from state registers.
