The Ukrainian risks missing the next Benfica match

Benfica midfielder from Ukraine Georgiy Sudakov may miss his team's upcoming match in the 1/16 finals of the Portuguese Cup with Athletico.

The match is scheduled for Friday, November 21, and the Lisbon club does not intend to risk the health of the Ukrainian due to a muscle injury he received during training camp with the Ukrainian national team.

According to the Record, the 23-year-old's condition is not a major concern but it is believed he will be given rest to allow him to fully recover in time for the Champions League clash with Ajax on Tuesday, November 25.

As you know, this season Sudakov played for Benfica in 14 matches in all tournaments, in which he scored three goals and made two assists.

Earlier it was also reported that Benfica head coach Jose Mourinho wants to invite another Ukrainian to the team.
