From January 1, 2026, a program of preventive medical examinations for people aged 40 years will start in Ukraine. It is aimed at identifying cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and mental disorders in the early stages. This was stated by the Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko on the telemarathon. He noted that program participants will be able to receive funds for examination in Dii. “Cardiovascular diseases top the rankings in all countries of the world as the main cause of mortality, including premature causes of death. We have repeatedly said that a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation will affect the fact that strokes and heart attacks will become younger and, unfortunately, we are already seeing this picture. Therefore, we do certain things for the early detection of diseases, so that it is possible to prevent them. In the draft budget for 2026, we propose to lay funds to create conditions aimed at the prevention of diseases. We launch a nationwide campaign for preventive medical examinations aimed at identifying cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and mental disorders. The check-out program should start on January 1,” Lyashko said.

A month after their birthday, Ukrainians will receive a push message inviting them to undergo a “national check-in”. After confirmation of participation, the money will be credited to the card in Dii. Next, the patient will be able to choose a medical institution where the corresponding list of examinations, laboratory and instrumental studies will be carried out.

In case of detection of human deviations, they will be sent to a narrow specialist. On the recommendation of a doctor, the examined will also be issued an electronic prescription for free medicines that will help treat diseases or restrain their development.

“Therefore, follow the communication, and we will start on January 1,” the minister emphasized.
