People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak said on the Vechir program. Live that the coating of a budget deficit of more than 300 billion hryvnias became possible only thanks to the decision of the European Union to allow the use of international funds provided secured by Russian assets.

According to the parliamentarian, the so-called reduction in non-military spending actually meant only a technical transfer of unused funds between various budget items.

“Part of the programs simply did not start, so the money that was laid on them was redirected. And, of course, let's not forget about the help of our partners. Where did the opportunity to close this hole in the budget of 300 billion? For the first time, our European partners gave us the opportunity to use their money for military needs. If it weren’t for these funds, there would be nothing to close the hole,” Zheleznyak emphasized.
