Vacation without salary: is it possible to extend it

In Ukraine, labor relations between the employee and the employer are regulated by the relevant legislation. There are situations when the employee went on vacation without salary lasting 90 days and went abroad. Specialists of the Southeast Interregional Department of the State Labor Service told whether such an employee can extend the vacation.

" However, there is an option provided for in paragraph 3 of the mentioned article: during the period of martial law, the employer at the request of the employee may provide him with leave without saving wages without limiting the deadline, ”the report said.

Experts added that this vacation is granted by agreement of the parties, that is, the employer has the right to refuse. In both cases, the time of stay in such a vacation on work experience, giving the right to annual main leave, is not counted.
