Three agents of the Russian Federation were detained who made arson in the eastern and western regions of Ukraine. The defendants were the local residents recruited by the enemy, who were looking for earnings in telegram channels. This was reported on September 16 by the SBU.

It is noted that a 21-year-old Russian agent was detained in Kharkov, who was burned by the service SUV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, underwent maintenance after the combat missions at the front. To commit a crime, the defendant poured a flammable mixture on a car hood and set it on fire.

The military counterintelligence of the SBU detained the attacker when he was preparing to commit new crimes in the front -line city.

In the Chernivtsi region, a 24-year-old recidivist was revealed, who previously served a sentence for theft of vehicles.

After release in the summer of 2024, he received an order from the Russian Federation for arson of energy facilities of Ukrzaliznitsi in the western region of our state.

To commit a crime, the defendant attracted his 34-year-old acquaintance. Both attackers are detained after they set fire to a local relay cabinet.

The defendants were informed of suspicion in accordance with the crimes committed - the obstruction of the legitimate activities of the Armed Forces and other military units in a special period; sabotage committed by preliminary conspiracy by a group of persons in conditions of martial law.

Detainees are in custody. They face 8 years in prison to life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Earlier, the SBU detained eight arsonists who, by order of the Russian special services, burned the facilities of Ukrzaliznitsi, military cars and administrative buildings in three regions of Ukraine.
