Alexander Berestyana was born on August 11, 1954 in the city of Okhotsk, in the Khabarovsk Territory. Children's and school years spent in Zhytomyr. Began to write poetry at school age - the first attempts appeared in the eighth grade. When studying in grades 9-10 of the Zhytomyr secondary school No. 7, he visited the literary studio at the regional youth newspaper. The studio was led by the famous writer and translator Boris Ten (Nikolai Khomichevsky).

Alexander was educated at the Ukrainian Institute of Water Management Engineers in Rivne. After graduation, he worked in construction and installation management No. 26, headed the Center for Public Relations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Rivne region, and was a press secretary of the regional council. He conducted two copyright programs on 10 television channels, was actively printed in regional and all -Ukrainian publications.
He was a member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine and the National Union of Writers of Ukraine.
