State regulation of the energy market through price-cups (maximum prices) limits the possibilities of importing electricity in conditions of deficiency.
This was stated by Vladimir Omelchenko, director of the energy and infrastructure programs of the Razumkov Center.
"
According to him, because of Russian attacks, Ukraine is faced with a deficiency of energy capacities, which, in combination with a decrease in temperature, creates an additional load on the system.
"
He noted that now Ukraine needs to increase the import of electricity, but the current price restrictions complicate this process.
Earlier, the director of the Center for Study of Energy, Alexander Kharchenko, also stated that the current regulatory restrictions complicate the import of electricity into Ukraine, even in situations where it is necessary in order to avoid disconnects.
