They noted that Ukrainian pensioners can issue a monthly surcharge of 1000 hryvnias if they are alone and need constant extraneous care due to health status. This norm is regulated by the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Improving Social Guarantees to certain categories of persons” and a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On approval of the procedure for the appointment and payment of state social assistance to persons who do not have the right to pension, and persons with disabilities and state social assistance.

According to the law, the payment is 40% of the subsistence minimum to the persons who have lost their ability to work, respectively, the amount of the surcharge is 944.4 UAH.

The legislation defines some criteria for those who may apply for a monthly payment.

These are the following requirements:.

have from 80 years and older;

Live yourself (without a family);

need constant extraneous care due to health status;

get one's age pension.

In order to issue such an additional payment, you need to write an appropriate application under the established model, and also provide the service with the necessary documents:.

passport;

Identification number;

An extract from the Pension Fund, confirming that the pensioner does not receive pension allowances;

The withdrawal of a medical advisory commission, which proves that a person needs constant observation from unauthorized persons due to a state of health.
