In September 2023, the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (PCU) made a transition to a new calendar. But he did not affect the celebration of the bright of Christ the Resurrection. After all, Orthodox Christians calculate the date of Easter in a different way than Catholics.

In 2025, Christians of the Eastern and Western rites will celebrate Easter on the same day - April 20. This situation rarely happens, since the former celebrate the resurrection of Christ according to the Julian calendar, and the latter - by Gregorian.

The passionate week of Christians of the Eastern and Western rite also begins on the overall date - April 14, so they will celebrate the clean Thursday on April 17.

On Clean Thursday, it is customary to put things in order in the house, clean and prepare for Easter celebration. It is believed that you can not leave riots in the house before the holiday. The housewives on a clean Thursday also bake their belts, because on a passionate Friday it is prohibited.
