President Vladimir Zelensky commented on the termination of financing by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) projects in Ukraine. In an interview with The Guardian, he emphasized that Kyiv would not complain, and military assistance continues.

Recall, US President Donald Trump decided to eliminate USAID. This is a key institution that finances development and security programs in more than 100 countries, in particular in Ukraine. Its budget is 42.8 billion dollars, but at present all projects implemented in Ukraine at the agency’s funds are suspended.

Earlier, the US Presidential Advisor Mike Waltz said that the USAID initiative does not meet the strategic interests and foreign policy vision of the head of the White House. According to him, the reduction of American humanitarian aid will not lead to increased influence of China and Russia in the international arena.
