Despite the assurances of the authorities in the stability of the gas balance, the real situation is anxious. Gas in underground storages is not enough, and a decrease in temperature can exacerbate the problem.

This was stated by the director of the energy programs of the Center Razumkov Vladimir Omelchenko.

\? Everyone seems to have completed the task. But according to my information, nevertheless, gas is not enough in underground storage facilities, although everything seems to be fine, so to speak, in words, yes, ”the expert emphasized.

According to him, warm weather allowed to cover the balance due to production (50 million. cubes per day) and lifting gas from underground storage facilities (60 million. cubes per day). However, frosts can make this amount insufficient.

" Therefore, I would not recommend going into buffer gas, that is, if you go to buffer gas, it may be a disaster, ”Omelchenko warned.

According to Omelchenko, gas reserves are at a critically low level. However, despite the warning of experts, the government did not take the necessary steps to download a larger gas volume in the spring, the expert said.

"

Earlier, the Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko said that Ukraine needs at least 1 billion cubic meters. m by the end of 2025. According to him, Russian shelling creates additional risk for gas safety.
