According to Gizmo China, the silhouette of the device was shown at the recent Galaxy S25 Unpacked event. However, there are very few details about the future novelty and they come mainly from insiders.

So on the Korean Naver platform, the informant under the nickname YeUX1122 said that the next folding smartphone will be called Galaxy G Fold. According to this leak, the device can be released already in the third quarter of 2025. In this case, it will become one of the most ambitious projects of developing Samsung gadgets today.

Regarding the characteristics, it is stated in the same leakage, the Galaxy G Fold is probably equipped with a 9.96-inch display, which is almost 30% more than the 7.6-inch panel of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. It is reported that in a folded state, the device will have a size of 6.54 inches, which makes it in height similar to ordinary monoblock smartphones.

According to rumors, the weight of the device will be comparable to the world's first gadget, which can be folded three times - Mate XT by Huawei Mate XT. However, at the same time, the new Samsung will be a little thicker, because by the design it will be formed inward. That is, both sides of the screen will be wrapped in the center. Thus, the manufacturer seeks to provide better screen protection. The same Mate XT has a S-shaped bend that leaves part of the screen of a vulnerable.

It is also reported that Samsung is developing a new type of display and protective film specifically for a new device to improve its durability.
