From the entire calendar of different holidays in Ukraine, about a dozen have the status of state. They are celebrated throughout the country, and in peacetime they give an additional weekend.

According to the Law of Ukraine, the listed public holidays in Ukraine are days off. However, due to martial law, this norm has now been canceled-enterprises and institutions of state form of ownership, if the holiday falls on a working week, continue to work. Private companies can solve this issue at their discretion. The norm on the transfer of a holiday is also not working now if it falls on the weekend - Saturday or Sunday.
