Last week, Detective Andrei Denisyuk, Detective Andrei Denisyuk, resigned from the National Anti -Corruption Bureau, who in a letter to colleagues noted that NABU inadequately investigate the theft in the purchases of drones as part of the Drones Army project. The director of Bureau Semen Krivonos, five days later responded to Denisyuk's accusations, HromadSke reports.

So, according to Krivonos, an internal check, previously carried out on the facts invested already an ex-detective, allegedly did not reveal violations. The head of NABU said that Andrei Denisyuk last year really made him a report on possible violations in the corresponding investigation. At the same time, Krivonos assured that the official investigation began “just the very next day” after the presentation of the report.

“When he was finished, they transferred to the disciplinary commission... and an official investigation, and then the disciplinary commission did not find violations regarding an improper investigation against drones. Also, there was no violation in the activities of the unit of Alexander Abakumov in writing recommendations on changing the price of the contract, ”Krivonos said.

According to him, the department where Denisyuk worked is now investigating four criminal cases. And all of them concern large contracts for drones. However, when asked how many detectives are working on these cases, Krivonos did not answer.

Recall, on January 23, Denisyuk said that he had quit NABU and sent his colleagues a letter in which he indicated the reasons for the dismissal and spoke about an improper investigation. It was about the case of overpayment by the state of almost 600 million UAH for procurement for the Armed Forces of the EVO Max 4T drones.

Denisyuk said that during the investigation of corruption during the purchase in the field of IT in the State Public Relations in April 2023, NABU revealed egregious facts of corruption when purchasing drones. However, due to a lack of a resource for a simultaneous investigation of the two directions, the drone case was transferred to another department and unit. However, Denisyuk added, regularly asking the contractor about the situation of affairs on drones, he learned only limited information that they were doing something.

Already in November 2023, according to him, NABU detectives managed to bring the case to to suspicion of the management. However, the latter contrary to all the procedures was fired on the same day.

At the same time, another unit that investigated the purchase of drones was able to conduct a check for six months of work and provide a letter for three sheets, which reported officials who were potentially involved in the scheme of relatively high price for one of the drones. And this, Denisyuk added, without operational-search case and criminal proceedings. And the result was the result of the department after suspicion of the management of the State Public.
