Recently it became known that next month the government will not change tariffs for electricity for the population: electricity prices will not change since February 1, as well as heating prices from February 1 will remain unchanged. However, electricity tariffs will be preferential for those citizens who use electric heapons. Focus learned more about these and other news about tariffs 2025.
The government approved a preferential tariff for light, which is 2.64 UAH/kW when consuming up to 2000 kWh of electricity per month. Since January 1, the government has expanded the categories of the population that can pay for such electricity tariffs until the end of the heating season.
“These are co-owners of large apartment buildings where there is no gas support, or places where there are problems with heat supply,” said Sergey Nagornyak, a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Energy and Housing and Communal Services.
However, it must be noted that electricity prices from February 1 at a preferential rate may be different. It depends on whether the volume of 2 thousand will be exceeded by the consumer. kWh. Then the tariff for the light from February 1, 2025 will be accrued at the same price as for all other citizens.
As for all the others that do not fall into the category that are available for preferential tariffs for light, for them, until the end of the heating season, tariffs for electricity will not change. The tariff will remain 4.32 UAH/kW, as previously determined.
Heating prices from February 1 will also not be changed, as it was planned before. In February, the price of gas for household consumers who use Naftogaz services will remain at the level of 7.96 UAH per cubic meter. Gas prices for other suppliers will be in the range from 7.79 UAH to 9.99 UAH per cubic meter.
Although tariffs 2025 will not change before the end of the heating season, however, citizens can always take the opportunity to pay less. This can be done thanks to the two-tariff meter of electricity " Thus, you can reduce electricity tariffs for yourself and pay less than receipts.
Then the tariff for the consumer will be as follows:.
Note that electricity tariffs in the near future do not plan to increase. This was previously reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal during a government meeting. Therefore, tariffs 2025 are still unchanged, at least until the end of the heating season, the tariffs for electricity will not change.
Recall that electricity tariffs last year increased by more than 63%. The Verkhovna Rada deputy Yevgeny Pivovarov also stated that tariffs 2025 could change since May. Focus reported this on January 20.
It was also previously reported that from January tariffs for gas transportation will significantly increase due to termination of transit from the Russian Federation. At the same time, the moratorium of the authorities to raise tariffs for the population during the war has not yet been canceled, as Focus found out on January 2.
