The Pension Fund of Ukraine explained under what conditions it can be obtained and what has changed.

December 31, 2024. The government adopted Resolution No. 1544 “Some issues of providing state support to internally displaced persons”, which introduced changes to the Procedure for compensation of expenses for temporary accommodation (stay) of internally displaced persons.

Since January 2025, payment of compensation for temporary free accommodation of internally displaced persons (hereinafter referred to as compensation of expenses) is carried out by the Pension Fund of Ukraine according to the lists of recipients provided by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine.

Starting from March 1, 2025, the consideration of applications and making decisions on the assignment of compensation for expenses will be provided by the bodies of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

Persons who had the right to receive compensation of expenses earlier and are included in the lists transferred to the Pension Fund of Ukraine, the payment of compensation continues without additional contact.

Compensation for expenses is provided to individuals - citizens of Ukraine, who are home owners and temporarily provide free housing to internally displaced persons.

The amount of compensation is 450 hryvnias for each inside the displaced person living in the living room.
