From February 15 to March 31, 2025, a ban on pike fishing will be introduced throughout Ukraine, reports the Kiev Fishery Patrol.

The purpose of the ban is to protect pike during spawning and restore the population in water bodies. The spawning activity of this type begins at a water temperature of 3 to 5 degrees of heat. During this period, there will also be enhanced control: inspectors will check the catch of fishermen and the legality of fish sales.
