In the current season, the 33-year-old Ternopolino took part in 17 Biathlon World Cup races, showing the best result in sprint (4th place in Oberhof). In the sprint race in Antholce-Anterselva, he finished in 5th position, and in the persecution race he also took 6th place.

In the mass starts, his best result was 12th place in Annecy, while in the individual races he was 10th in Kontiolahti. The relay races were also well developed: a felment team at the stages in Rupolding and Contiolahi occupied the 6th and 7th places, respectively.
