Ukrainian authorities are working to extend the period for re-passing the military medical commission for those liable for military service who are recognized as partially fit for service, as well as to temporarily cancel fines for late completion of the medical examination.

According to current standards, all persons of limited military service must undergo a second medical examination by February 4. In case of failure to fulfill this obligation, fines are provided. However, according to Vereshchuk, more than a million people have still not been re-reviewed due to organizational problems. In particular, many did not receive challenges in the IHC or encounter large queues in the territorial centers of completion.

“It is obvious that it is absolutely unrealistic to conduct a medical examination for so many people before February 4. Subsequently, we will find out why this situation arose and who is responsible for the unsatisfactory organization of the process, ”the official said.

She added that work is underway to amend the legislation, which will allow to extend the term for the re -passage of the VVK. In addition, it is planned to temporarily abolish fines for those who did not have time to undergo a physical examination on time.

According to Vereshchuk, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Health are already working to improve the organization of the work of the Military Medical Commission, in particular, to develop appropriate appointment schedules and ensure timely call of people subject to medical examination.
