Ukraine set a new record for the number of pairs representing the country in the third round of the Australian Open in women's doubles. At least three Ukrainian pairs will immediately play in the 1/8 finals, although previously no more than two competed at this stage of the tournament.

Those who made it to the third round were: Lyudmila Kichenok and Zhan Haojing (Chinese Taipei), who won against Harriet Dart and Diane Parry in the second round with a score of 6:0, 6:3, as well as Marta Kostyuk, paired with Romanian Elena Gabriela Ruse, who won.
