Kevin Lerena invited Alexander Usyk to become a champion in three weight categories. The South African put his belt on the line in the transition division, reports World Boxing News.
" He's the one who beat this guy. At the moment he is the face of boxing, so 100% he will get the opportunity. He can do whatever he wants,” said Lerena.
The WBC bridgerweight champion was in talks about a fight with another Ukrainian – Sergey Radchenko. The South African boxer agreed to fight him in February in Kyiv, but the fight was subsequently postponed until the spring. Now Lerena is open to other offers, in particular from Ukraine, but admitted that there have still been no negotiations on a fight against Usik. The Ukrainian himself voiced his dream of a fight at the NSC Olympic.
Let us remember that earlier Zhilei appreciated Usik’s victory over Fury in the rematch.
